Education is the way to better life

The change begins in every of us

What we do

Our main activities

We empower parents

With information and training, we empower Roma parents and lead them towards independence from social services.

We lead the campaign of enrolments of Romani children to mainstream schools and kindergartens

We support Parents to enrol Roma children in quality mainstream primary schools and kindergartens, and advocate for their equal access to quality education.

Advocacy for equal access to education

We lead the litigation in discrimination against Romani children in education and assist parents in law enforcement.

We build a healthy and strong  community

We support and encourage active parents to become a volunteer member in our campaigns and eventually coach them to become an organizer of Roma communities and a leader in their community.

Our story

we have been organizing Roma communities in Ostrava since October 2013  with the main focus on equal access of Romani children to quality education. We use the "Leadership, Organization and Action" methodology from Harvard Kennedy School, USA, tailored to the Ostrava context.

Community organization is building a structure based on strengthening the fundamental rights of the community and building leadership skills in communities. These organizers must have close ties with the community and must come from within the community.

We are currently spreading these organizational methods to the surrounding towns of Ostrava.
